Indicates possible situations where a drivers response to an intermitted or moving hazard may be required. School ahead serves as an advanced warning of a school zone. Drivers are expected to watch for children, reduce speed, stop for pedestrian crosswalks or school bus loading zones, and follow the directions of crossing guards and additional school zone signs.
